We are inspired by Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy that views learners as human persons and education as a life and science of relations. This relational education is a method of learning that is full of wonder and delight.
We believe that when we see knowing and learning as loving, instead of mere information, we will come to care deeply about the people, places and world around us.
We see our role as that of a ‘guide, philosopher and friend.’
Just like how a shepherd uses a staff to gently guide his sheep, we walk alongside others to encourage them in their learning and growing journeys and provide support and guidance along the way. We also create a safe meeting place where people can slow down, take a break from their journeys and be refreshed and nourished by a feast of learning.
